Indonesia As Traveling Destination
Indonesia is the longest archipelago in the world and composed of seventeen thousand islands that stretch over five thousand miles along the equator. Islands are strung like beads across the equator from west to east, clear blue seas lap pristine beaches, gentle breezes carry scents of spices and flowers, divers are entranced by the ocean’s riches, dramatic volcanic ranges tower above a green mantle of terraced hillsides and lush rainforest.
Located in between Asia and Australia continental plates, Indonesia have unique and variety of topographies, ecologies, volcanoes, mountains, unexplored rain forests, thousands of miles of beaches, and endless offshore reefs support a dazzling abundance of wildlife. Wildlife of Australia and Asia come together on these islands chain, making for some of the world’s most distinctive species.
Indonesian culture combines aspects of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and animism to form a people steeped in unique traditions.
As a huge and diverse country, Indonesia’s tourism is flourished. Adventure tourism can be rather exciting with so many parts of islands unexplored. In big cities, the night life pulsates with its many dance clubs, live music venues and rich Indonesian cuisines for food lovers. There are plenty of inns, hotels, accommodations, vacation rentals homes for all types of budgets in most towns and cities unless you are traveling off the beaten track.
Scuba diving is also a very popular activity for tourist in Indonesia because of the diversity of its marine life and magnificently clear waters. Indonesia boasts of some of the best scuba diving locations in the world. Eco tourism is now getting more popular as more and more tourists realizing the richness of the many uncharted wilderness in Indonesia.
