I was going through my online purchases the other day and here’s what I got:
- I decided to go paintballing with my son and he decided that using the rental paintball guns was not his style so he just HAD to buy paintball guns. Well no way I’m paying retail price, really really high, so I instead found a site for cheap paintball markers
- The next thing I spent money on is kind of funny. My son wanted to do some rap work but he needed rap beats just to start making rap tracks. So I did some searching and found hip hop beats for sale - the deal I got was pretty sweet as well, a full lifetime membership and what not for less than $30–of course after I bought that my son moved on to another hobby and I wasted my cash (typical right).
- The last thing I spent money on I’m ashamed to admit. I decided to learn how to earn a living online and heard about something that basically said I could be sitting on a beach in 10 months if I bought into it. Well let’s say that $3000 later I’m no closer to a beach unless you count getting on a plane to go on vacation. You can read about this crazy program at this blog’s reverse funnel system scam review. The US government today took a major step toward increasing investors confidence in the US mortgage market by utilizing the power Congress provided the Treasury Department and the new government sponsored enterprise oversight agency known as the Federal Housing Finance Agency FHFA.
Some observers believe that this move may cause interest rates to go down. Because buyers of government sponsored enterprise investments have demanded higher than normal returns on their investments due to a lack of confidence in these entities, which as been pronounced by speculation that the GSEs may collapse. Others feared nationalization of the government sponsored enterprises, which presents a different sent of implications. What happened today stops short of nationalizing the government sponsored enterprises, but it does dilute shareholder equity in the GSEs.
The speculation as to what will happen with the government sponsored enterprises and it’s concern of their potential collapse, consolidation, nationalization, etc. The certainty of the situation is thought to be a very good thing. Investors will likely be willing to invest in mortgage backed securities under the new scenario meaning with the explicit guaranty of, rather than the implicit guaranty of, the credit of the US government at rates similar to the past. This could be great news for Mortgage rates, construction loan rates, new home construction and refinancing.
Recently investors have demanded spreads of 2.25% to 2.45% over treasuries, whereas the normal spread historically has been 1.25%. That means agency interest rates may have been inflated recently by as much as 1.2%. Well have to see if this move causes the reaction of international investors feeling comfortable enough with this move to accept a 1.25% spread over treasuries like they used to. Logically they should, so long as these investors believe in the underlying credit worthiness of the US government.
If we do see a rate decrease of 100 to 120 basis points we should see a surge in business. We will not expect to see the GSEs back off of the recent underwriting guideline tightening; in fact, we expect to see underwriting guidelines continue to tighten in reaction to a recent revelation that the foreclosure crisis is now spreading further into high quality credit borrowers. So, no relief expected soon on underwriting guidelines, but potential significant relief in terms of interest rates.

Did you spend your last weekend consuming movies, DVDs, CDs, books, etc, too? Have you thought how much fun getting creative yourself can be?
I want to show you three different ways to get creative! I will cover three different fields, so there will be something for everyone. The three different fields are reading, knitting and making a photo calendar.
My first idea for getting creative is making a special bookmark: a funny bookworm bookmark. I found this on a german website on bookmarks called lesezeichenladen.de. You can find the instructions in the section Bücherwurm basteln. Have Fun!
The second idea, although I must admit that most probably this will appeal more to women, is to knit a nice looking cap for the colder season. A fine set of instructions can be found on wunderfaser.de, the section is called Mütze stricken. I personally own one of those (to be honest, it was a present, but it was made using these instructions…)

I’ve been working hard here lately and now it’s time for some BBQ and Bluegrass Music! Some of my favorite bands are Rhonda Vincent and The Rage, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Dale McCoury Band, Dan Tyminski and any band that has a great mandolin picker.
We have a local BBQ place that knows how to do BBQ Right! Sometimes we go over there on Friday orSaturday night, eat some good BBQ and listen to great bluegrassmusic. The other night the band played some Ralph Stanely, Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs tunes. I asked my wife to please get me a copy of the Flatt and Scruggs old TV shows for my birthday. I think she will!
Speaking of BBQ, do you know how Natural Gas vs Propane vs Charcoal stacks up? I am thinking about getting a Grill and was wondering which one is best. Nothing like some good ribs basted in barbeque sauce fixed on an open grill on Saturday night! Almost forgot the beverage, NOT! A cool, refreshing cold drink of choice puts the final touch on the meal.
Oh, on a totally different subject, I am in the process of re-doing my home office and ran across a site that has a ton of good information on such topics as Outfitting a Home Office, Choosing An Office Copier and lots more. They also have a ton of office equipment and supplies to help with the make over. So this should make my new project go a lot faster which means I can get back to the BBQ and Bluegrass Music!

Every online marketer knows that in order to become successful, you’ll have to have a high amount of traffic driven to your website. Traffic volume means more income potential, but when you’re just starting out, adwords ad campaigns may not be a viable option for your marketing budget.
So when you are trying to drive more traffic to your site, you’re faced with whether to try to get free traffic or use paid traffic programs such as pay per click (PPC) marketing like Yahoo overture and Google AdWords. (Or you can go for both).
Free traffic routes deliver the best ROI (return on your investment) because there’s no out of pocket cost. But the traffic you bring in may not be as targeted as a PPC campaign and quite frankly, may take you longer to get started.
Some forms of free traffic-generating methods include articles marketing, social networking and forum marketing on niche-related message boards using a link-driven signature file. You can also toss in more creative ideas like eBay and Squidoo.
The problem with free traffic is that it’s a work-heavy advertising technique. In order to gain high amounts of traffic, a marketer needs to continually advertise their site to get their link exposed to prospective customers.
If time is in short supply, free marketing isn’t an option that will benefit you. So then what?
It’s time to turn to paid marketing.
Paid traffic avenues cost you money to gain traffic, but if executed properly, the ROI will be much higher and the maintenance much lower. If you’re using article directories, you may have to wait 10 days for approval, but an AdWords campaign can be live in minutes.
While costs are considerably higher, so is the potential for profits - higher the risk, higher the reward right?
If you don’t know how to conduct a savvy PPC campaign, you stand to lose a LOT of money, trust me… I’ve “been there, done that”.
There are barriers in place to prevent anything bad from happening, such as daily limits to your spending. Unfortunately, many marketers put limits far beyond what they can actually afford, not knowing Google will find a way to tap into your coffers.
Let this be a lesson to you, I like to advise my AdWords clients to start with $100 (my default budget, which may vary of course depending on your market). Treat it as their “AdWords testing money” to get their feet wet with AdWords.
The best way to use paid and free traffic is to implement a strategy that combines both methods. You might run a pay per click campaign and at the same create a lens on Squidoo and HubPages – both for the same keywords. Now you are covering your basis.
And assuming the keywords you tried ranking and advertising for, a few days later, you might find your lens ranked #1 in the Google SERPs.
Do you need to continue the PPC campaign? That’s what testing and tracking of conversions will tell you. You might find that the PPC ad linking visitors directly to your sales page has a higher conversion than those who click through to the lens and then have to take an additional step to get to your sales page.
Savvy marketers understand the need to constantly track and tweak their marketing efforts. Implement new strategies. See what works best for your niche audience. Then wash, rinse, and repeat your success!
