When I first heard the term, I could not believe my ears. I was thinking to myself, are they serious? Does this really exist? After some research the answer is definitely yes. I am talking about food styling. Those who do not know, food styling is the art of making food look delicious and appetizing. I never knew this even existed. But I suppose somebody has to make all the menus in restaurants look good.
Since I live in Southern California, I am sure that there is a Los Angeles food styling agency in the city somewhere. I am wondering because me and my two best friends are starting a food restaurant business venture. And we would need the assistance of a qualified food photographer and food stylists. I am thinking of doing a search on the Internet for a local food photographer in Los Angeles. I am sure with a few million people, that I can find someone qualified.
After talking to a few experts the art of arranging food to be photographed is actually quite the skill. It takes a keen eye, a good sense of color and balance, and also of the skill to work a camera, to be a competent food photographer in Los Angeles. I hope I can find such a person. I am planning to have at least 50 to 60 menu items in my new restaurant, and they all need to be photographed in a way that will be appealing on the menu and also our website.
